TV Ads That Perform Like Digital

We have entered a new era of TV advertising where the barriers to entry are lower than ever, and Roku Ads Manager is leading the way.

Growth marketers can access Roku’s audience reach in the US with a self-service ad platform that’s built for performance.

Roku powers 47% of all TV streaming time in the US*, so your brand can run ads alongside premium content and meet your audience where they’re already engaged. *Comscore, 2024

“I realized I had the ability to shift the narrative. That’s the real power – owning your story and creating space for others to do the same.” – Ibtihaj Muhammad

Sometimes the biggest breakthroughs begin with the smallest shifts.

A new mindset. A clearer boundary. A single “yes” to something that used to scare you.

Shift happens – not always dramatically, not always intentionally.

Last week, when I wrote about how I shaped my own winding path, it involved getting to my goals but not always in the way I expected.

In our careers, we’re taught to aim for titles, timelines, and tidy resumes. But growth isn’t linear – and it doesn’t always look like climbing.

Sometimes growth looks like resting. Sometimes it looks like pivoting, saying no, or starting over with purpose.

Positive shifts often begin when we start asking new questions:

👉🏽 What does success feel like – not just look like?

👉🏽 What energizes me, and what drains me?

👉🏽 Who am I becoming in this work?

Does In Community help you see things differently or feel the end-of-week positive vibes? If it does, consider becoming a supporting subscriber.

ICYMI: supporting subscribers get preferred access to upcoming content and events. Every person makes a difference.

These questions have helped to guide me toward an alignment – a place where things start to come together.

And alignment creates power. It invites us to leave behind roles or environments that no longer serve us and make space for career moves rooted in clarity and joy.

Shifting can also mean expanding your toolkit. Taking the course. Asking for feedback. Saying “I don’t know” and then learning anyway. Growth doesn’t demand perfection – it asks for curiosity and courage.

Sometimes, the most powerful shift is internal: deciding you’re worthy of the opportunities you want.

Once that belief takes root, everything begins to move differently. You advocate differently. Show up differently. Lead differently.

Ibtihaj Muhammad, the Olympic fencer who made history in 2016 as the first American to compete in the Olympics wearing a hijab, and the first female Muslim-American athlete to win an Olympic medal, is a prime model of this.

Her success in the Olympics while wearing a hijab challenged misconceptions. She faced challenges as a Black Muslim woman in a predominantly white sport. Her memoir Proud: My Fight for an Unlikely American Dream documents her journey and the obstacles she overcame.

Her emphasis on self-belief is inspiring a new generation of athletes looking to perform at the highest levels.

👉🏽 Whether you’re navigating burnout, craving a new challenge, or simply ready to realign – remember: small shifts create lasting momentum.

So if you feel a nudge, follow it.

Revisit your “why.” Schedule the informational interview or coffee chat. Rewrite the bio. Send the pitch.

The shift you’re looking for might be one bold choice away – and it might be about getting out of your own way.

Because yes – shift happens. And when it’s intentional, it’s the beginning of everything good.

Keep moving forward. Keep shaping and writing your own narrative.

Your next chapter is waiting.

And hey, before you go – do you know someone who could use this as a reminder to keep writing their narrative too? Make sure to forward ♻️ this onward to them and spread the ✨ vibes.
