π₯ Pressure: In Community #132
Your weekly spark at the intersection of community, culture, and commerce
An entire ad agency in the palm of your hand.
Your next campaign needs a dozen fresh ad variations by Friday. Your agency quotes two weeks and a five-figure invoice. Your in-house designers are already buried under this quarter's requests.
Hightouch Ad Studio fixes that. It reads your brand guidelines, your best-performing creative, and your product catalog, then generates on-brand ads your team can ship the same afternoon. You review and approve every asset before it goes live, so quality holds.
Growth teams use it to build variations for every audience, test more of them, and stop rationing creative because production got expensive. The work that once needed a full agency retainer now runs inside your own workflow, at your pace and under your direction.
You direct the work while Ad Studio handles production, and your designers get their week back.

π₯ And now, for your weekly spark.
I've noticed something in my own thinking lately.
Maybe it's because I'm a founder. Maybe it's because budgets are tighter. Maybe it's because every conversation seems to include words like "efficiency," "headwinds," "leaner teams," or "do more with less."
Whatever the reason, every decision suddenly feels bigger than it did before.
Should we hire or wait? Do we invest now or preserve cash? Do we say yes to this opportunity or hold out for something better?
None of those questions are new, but the emotional stakes behind them feel different.
And I've realized that the higher the emotional stakes become, the smaller our world gets.
Without realizing it, we stop looking six months ahead and start looking six days ahead. We stop asking, "What's the best decision for the business we're trying to build?" and start asking, "What's the safest decision I can make right now?"
I know Iβm not the only one.
Over the past few weeks, I've spoken with founders trying to extend runway, CMOs navigating budget cuts, agency leaders under pressure to prove ROI, and teams being asked to deliver more with fewer resources.
The industries are different, but the pressure feels like it isnβt.
ππ½ Pressure has a way of shrinking our perspective.
It convinces us that the email in front of us is more important than the relationship we've spent years building, that this quarter matters more than the reputation we've been earning over a decade, or that the urgent decision deserves more attention than the important one.
The irony is that a lot of what creates long-term value is also the first to get cut when we're under pressure.
We stop reaching out to people because we're too busy. We cancel the IRL coffee meetup. We postpone the introduction. We skip the conference. We convince ourselves we'll invest in relationships again once things settle down.
But community isn't something you build after the storm passes. It's often what helps you get through it.
One of the reasons I keep coming back to community is because other people have a way of restoring perspective. It doesnβt solve every problem, but it moves you forward.
Maybe another founder reminds you they've lived through this cycle before, or a CMO tells you the campaign you're worried about today won't define your career. Or, maybe a friend asks a question that makes you realize you've been putting your energy into the wrong places.
Sometimes we don't need another answer. We need someone who helps us zoom back out.
π The Zoom Out Test
The next time you're facing a decision that feels unusually high stakes, pause (and hey, it canβt hurt to take a few deep breaths) before you make it and ask yourself four questions.
What would I do if I weren't making this decision from stress?
Pressure has a way of disguising fear as strategy.
Will this decision still matter six months from now?
If the answer is no, don't give it six months' worth of emotional energy.
What am I protecting?
Cash? Reputation? Ego? Comfort? Or the future I'm actually trying to build?
Who can help me see what I'm too close to see?
Perspective is one of the greatest gifts community gives us. Borrow someone else's view before assuming your own is complete.
Every founder, marketer, and leader goes through seasons where the stakes feel impossibly high. A lot of us are feeling that season right now.
So remember this: The goal isnβt to escape the pressure.
π₯ It's to stop letting it lead.
