Fact: you may not always know where you’re headed or how to get there.
But knowing the destination can be the first step toward charting your path forward.
Last week, I wrote about recognizing our own value and the three E’s to help along the way. This week, let’s talk about determining a destination, which can often sound easy but takes some effort to achieve.
A destination is a start, and a roadmap guides your way. One tool I’ve found useful is by applying elements of the Japanese concept of Ikigai: a philosophy that empowers us to find purpose and meaning in life.
Ikigai is the sweet spot where passion, vocation, mission, and profession intersect in harmony to help us move our communities and ourselves forward.
It helps to ensure that we’re not just existing but living a life that fulfills us and gives us energy back when we put that energy into the things we do.
👉🏽 What would it do for you to have more purpose in the way you tackle the everyday elements of your life?
👉🏽 How will it help you to reduce stress and avoid burnout?
👉🏽 How can you think about paving a path toward greater health and wellbeing?
Keep reading to see how I’ve approached this.
