When was the last time you took a step back and just said “I’m amazing”?
Think about it. Was it recent? Was it because of something seemingly small? Or something more? Did you even take that moment to celebrate yourself?
Last week, I wrote about using our collective power to make an impact. This week, it’s worth a reminder to recognize our own power as individuals.
Remember this: you know yourself better than anyone else. We’re often the last ones to recognize our own achievements. Isn’t it time you celebrated the hurdles you’ve jumped, the barriers you’ve knocked down, and the hills you’ve climbed – especially when others around you never thought it was possible?
👉🏽 Don’t be limited by other people’s visions – use your own vision to see what only you know you can build.
👉🏽 Don’t compare yourself to others, because their experience is not your experience. They haven’t walked in your shoes.
👉🏽 Don’t concern yourself with a timeline to hit a career or impact goal that someone else defined for you. Write your own definition.
To paraphrase Arlan Hamilton, be yourself – and celebrate yourself – so that the people looking for you can find you and celebrate with you.
