Are you anxious? I know I am.

Let’s face it – it’s in the air.

How can we go to work and continue our day-to-day routines without acknowledging the added weight that many of us feel from the burden of uncertainty? The environment around us – from the head-spinning news cycle and humanitarian crises to corporate reorgs and shifting tides – all contributes to our overall motivation and sense of being.

When I wrote about deciding who you want to be last week, it was to show that it’s the first step to the world truly seeing and hearing the real, powerful you, clearly and loudly.

As I hit one full year of this weekly newsletter, I’m reminded of how critical community really is in times of uncertainty.

Our friends, families, coworkers – both virtual and IRL – will help us navigate uncharted waters, more and more of which we seem to be facing on the daily.

It takes endurance and sometimes pulling back in order to keep driving progress forward for ourselves and beyond. So if you haven’t done it yet today, pause, take three slow, deep breaths and ask yourself:

👉🏽 What steps am I taking to manage my anxiety?

👉🏽 How am I leaning on support systems around me to help do the heavy lifting where it’s necessary?

👉🏽 Where can I draw inspiration from to be more centered and anchored rather than feeling adrift?

This is a moment to tap those around you who acknowledge and validate your experiences.

The ones who recognize that identity is not the same as impact and that once you’re anchored, much like the featured artists and creators in this week’s Need to Know, you can chart a course uniquely your own.
